How to design your system

Should you wish to place your order no payment details are taken , this is done in person after the system is installed.

below I have listed a few key points to help you quote your system:-

  • I recommend one PIR per downstairs room.
  • Alarming the upstairs is a nice to have but is normally just the landing.
  • If you have a single story extension to the rear you may wish to protect the upstairs room above it.
  • The control panel needs to be installed close to either a mains plug socket or your fuse box / consumer unit.

Movement detector

This is a Detector that uses both PIR and microwave technologies to detect movement. This reduces the amount of false alarms as both technologies need to detect movement for an alarm to be raised


Door contact

Door contact

  • Detects door or window being opened
  • typicaly used on just the front door
  • Can be programmed to chime when door is opened

Door contacts are inexpensive but are usually just used on your front door to begin the entry / exit timer,they are not able to detect a door being attacked or glass being smashed.

This device is ideal to be fitted to a gate


Vibration detector

Vibration detector

Vibration sensors detect vibration on a door or window, they can detect an attempted breakin but are more expensive than PIR's.Some rooms may have more than one window , some larger windows require two detectors.


Aditional wireless sounder

This is an external sounder which runs off battery , it can be upgraded to also run off a plug in powersupply , this greatly increases the batter life to many years


Internal sounder

This is a wireless internal sounder that is installed inside the property


Wired sounder upgrade

  • Extends the life of the external sounder battery

A neat hole is drilled into the property from the external sounder and a cable is ran close to a plug socket , A power supply is used so the battery is only used in the event of a powercut which makes the sounder battery last for many more years.


Wifi / Mobile App

This is an aditional part that is installed within the control panel , it then connects to your home WIFI.The mobile app then allows you to get notifications and control your alarm while you are not at home.

Remote key fob
